WHEN DO I START MY BRIDAL ALTERATIONS?
That depends on a few different things. For most brides 2-3 months before the wedding is good. However, if your gown doesn't fit and/or it needs more complicated work, a little earlier would be better. In the off season (think colder weather) gowns can be completed sooner.
I'M NOT A BRIDE, SO HOW LONG FOR MY ALTERATIONS?
Bridesmaids, moms, flower girls and special occasion dresses are less complex so they don't need as much time to schedule. We have worked with brides and wedding parties from all over the country! We love it if you plan ahead, but we understand that sometimes things happen. So if you need last minute alterations, please let us know.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR MY FITTING?
Please bring your shoes and any undergarments that you will be wearing with the dress. We can help advise you on this at your first fitting if you are unsure. We also stock bra cups in all sizes that can be stitched into your dress.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I will be seeing you at my shop, at the Slater Mill in Jewett City.
The address is 39 Wedgewood Drive. Take the first right, which is the parking lot, The main door has a GIBSON MUSIC sign above it. I am 3 doors down the hall.

CAN I BRING GUESTS WITH ME?
Yes, you can. Our studio is spacious and we welcome your friends and family. If you are bringing young children, please bring someone to stay with them, frequently the little ones get very bored and rambunctious. This is your time to have some fun and enjoy!
WHAT WILL MY ALTERATIONS COST?
We have a list of estimate prices for alterations, which may vary based on the time and labor involved. We are able alter and/or redesign your gown so that it fits you perfectly and becomes the dress of your dreams. We also offer custom work such as straps, sleeves, wraps, bling and more. WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
All services are cash only at the last fitting. There is an ATM about a block away. Currently our location has terrible wi-fi service, so we are not able to offer PayPal, Venmo, Square, etc. We will give you an estimate at your first fitting and rarely (if ever) will it be more than that.
DO YOU HAVE ACCESSORIES?
Yes we do! We have a beautifully curated selection of affordable accessories including veils, headpieces, jewelry, belts and wraps with more coming in all the time. We will be happy to help you select what looks best for your style, let's have some fun!
